Activist Training in Boone this Saturday

Here is a link to the program that Kelsey mentioned.  It is Saturday from 9-4, and includes lunch at the Daniel Boone Inn, for $12 total.   If you use the on-line registration, enter estudiante2012 in the promotional code blank to get the discount.

Civitas Event

The sign-up form doesn't describe the actual event, but elsewhere at the Civitas site they say this:

Civitas Campaign Training is focused on giving participants the knowledge and practical skills they will need to build a winning campaign in North Carolina. The program includes information on the following subject areas:
  • Campaign organization
  • Research
  • Campaign Finance and laws
  • Communications
  • Social media
This training is for candidates, campaign workers, or anyone interested in politics and grassroots activism.
Even if you're not conservative, this would be valuable for anyone interested in being active in politics.  It would also be a good event to do fieldwork at for class.

  1. I'm going to sign up, but you have to pay when signing up over the internet. So, the question is, how do you get the tea party discount for students? There is a place to enter promotional codes and such, but I don't know what to enter..
