The man doing the investigating is basically telling the poll workers he is going to commit voter fraud. And the way we vote in the south is suspect, geeez. Although he was a bit misleading, I am certain the ladies wouldn't know who Oranthal James Simpson is, or even Bradley Pitt. I have always had to show ID to vote in Florida, It will be interesting to vote in NC this year and not have to prove I am who I say I am. I do not feel showing ID has ever disenfranchised me, and fail to see how anyone could say that it does.
I don't have a problem with showing my ID when I vote but the idea of voter fraud is a fabrication. It may be "easy" to commit voter fraud but that in no way means that it happens. Its easy to steal candy from cascades, that does not mean it happens. Voter fraud was not an issue until voter ID laws started to be introduced. People needed to justify the voter suprression laws, so they invented the idea of voter fraud. Since 2004 there have been 5 cases of voter fraud in North Carolina, so this warrented a Voter ID law. Voter ID laws do nothing to adress voter fraud. Lets change the ballots, lets change how people, lets adress the issue. Changing when a person can vote, how they register, or what form of ID they need has no impact on a person's ability to commite voter fraud. This is a systematic attempt to disenfranchise voters. It is an attack on the fundemental rights of americas. The voting laws that are being passed in our country are a disgrace to america. I am embarssed by people in my country that are revoking the voting rights of citzens. But lets be honest, Americans don't care enough about voting to vote once let alone vote more than once. My advice to any person that supports these laws, instead of trying to win an election by preventing others from voting, win an election by getting more votes.
